Hobby Master 1/72 Air Power Series HA4207: Douglas A-20K 44-613/7X-T "Helen",
645 BS, 410 BG, France 1945. Limited to only 500 pieces.

The 410th BG (L) was activated in June 1943 in Oklahoma and joined the 9th AF. Equipped with the Douglas A-20 Havoc the 410th BG flew their first mission on May 1, 1944 from Gosfield England. The BG took part in pre D-Day operations and supported the actual invasion. The 410th BG (L) moved to Coulommier AB, France in September 1944 until February 1945. In December 1944 they helped stop the German offensive in the Ardennes. 7X and white cowling rings identified the 645th BS.

With war approaching America knew it would be called upon to aid their Allies so a new aircraft would need to be developed. Douglas Aircraft designer Ed Heinemann’s DB-7/A-20 was chosen to be the new attack-bomber. The prototype flew in December 1938 with the first production aircraft flew on August 17, 1939. Production ran until September 1944 with 7,478 aircraft built. During WWII these were supplied to French, British, Australian, Dutch and Soviet forces as well as their own U.S. Forces.
